Sprite sheet slicer
Split a sheet into one PNG per frame, by grid or by finding each sprite.
Free, no sign-up. It runs in your browser: your files never leave your computer, and the tool works offline once the page has loaded.
How to use it
- Drop a sprite sheet on the box.
- Choose Grid and set the cell size, or Auto to find each sprite by the transparent space around it.
- Check the outlines on the preview.
- Download every frame as PNGs in one ZIP.
Grid or auto?
Grid is for sheets made by a tool, where every frame sits in a cell of the same size: set the cell size and every cell becomes a frame. Auto is for sheets drawn by hand or packed tightly, where sprites have different sizes: it finds each group of touching pixels with transparent space around it, and gives each its own frame, in reading order.
Frame names
Frames are named after the sheet and numbered in reading order, left to right and top to bottom: hero_000.png, hero_001.png… so they sort correctly in any folder.
Making sprites from 3D models? Pixor renders a model into pixel-art sheets from every side, frame by frame, and writes GIFs, Aseprite files and engine formats itself. How it works.
