Cavity
A node of the Style graph, in the Space group.
How much the surface folds inward: above 0 in a crease, below 0 on a ridge. Threshold it and wire it into Step where masked by −1 for creases a step darker. Unwired, it reads the render.
Takes: normals (normal), depth (scalar), radius (number), depth_jump (number) · Gives: scalar
Settings
| Setting | What it does | Range | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Radius | How far apart the normals compared are, in pixels. | 1 to 8 | 1 |
| Depth jump | How far behind a neighbour is, in pixels, before it is another surface. | 0.05000000074505806 to 1000 | 2.5 |
Every setting is also an input: wire a value into it to change it per pixel. On the command line: pxr graph set game.pixor --which style --node cavity --set KEY=VALUE.

What it wires to
What it gives, a scalar, goes into: Lines, Shading, To palette, Add, Blur, By material, By part, Divide, Edges, Fraction, Glint, Highlights, and 18 more.
In the app, drag a wire from one of its dots: every dot the wire fits is ringed.
How it fits with the rest: the Style graph in the manual.
