Noise field
A node of the Style graph, in the Maths group.
The seeded noise the Noise mask thresholds, as a number.
Takes: seed (number), scale (number) · Gives: scalar
Settings
| Setting | What it does | Range | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seed | Changes the noise without changing anything else. | 0 to 9999 | 1 |
Sizescale | How wide the noise's features are, in pixels. | 0.25 to 64 | 4 |
Every setting is also an input: wire a value into it to change it per pixel. On the command line: pxr graph set game.pixor --which style --node noise-field --set KEY=VALUE.
What it wires to
Its seed input takes a number, which these give: Add values, Angle, Divide values, Larger value, Multiply values, Number value, Pick a value, Smaller value, Subtract values.
What it gives, a scalar, goes into: Lines, Shading, To palette, Add, Blur, By material, By part, Cavity, Divide, Edges, Fraction, Glint, and 19 more.
In the app, drag a wire from one of its dots: every dot the wire fits is ringed.
How it fits with the rest: the Style graph in the manual.
