A round iron pot on three legs over glowing embers, filled with a bright green brew. In the Bubble loop the surface swells and pops while bubbles rise and burst. Rendered at 48 pixels from a three-quarter view, it is the centrepiece of any witch’s hut or alchemy room.
The pot is a lathe shape. The brew’s surface uses shape keys for the bubbles, and the rising bubbles are separate objects moved by keys. Brew glow and Ember materials with colour ramps light it from within, against the Dark iron pot and Charcoal embers.
Cauldrons are crafting stations in RPGs and survival games, potion shops, witch encounters and Halloween levels. Play the loop when it is in use and still frames when it is idle. In puzzle games the brew colour can show what has been added.
Change the Brew glow material to red, blue or purple for different recipes, and render a sheet for each so the brew can change as ingredients go in. Put it beside the potion, the magic staff and the blue crystal for an alchemy workshop, or near the campfire for an outdoor witch’s camp.
