A wooden treasure chest with iron bands, a gold lock and a rounded lid hinged at the back. Two clips, Open and Close, swing the lid up and down, and inside lies a heaped dome of gold. The sprites are rendered at 48 pixels from a three-quarter view.
The lid is a separate hinged part that turns about its back edge, animated as object animation. Its bands and lock ride along with it. A Bevel modifier softens the box’s edges, and the gold heap inside appears as soon as the lid lifts. Part priority keeps the small lock visible.
Treasure chests reward exploration in dungeon crawlers, RPGs and platformers. Play Open when the player interacts, hold the last frame, and spawn the reward. Close can reset a chest or hide something again. Use the closed frame as a map icon for unopened loot.
Change the Wood material for a darker or painted chest, or the Gold for a silver one. It pairs naturally with the coin, the gem and the key, all of which make good rewards to pop out as the lid lifts. Place one behind the dungeon door, guarded by the skeleton.
