Lance, animated pixel-art GIF
Turning round Download

A free lance for pixel-art games: a low-poly 3D model (558 triangles) with its Blender file, and pixel-art sprite sheets rendered from it by Pixor at 128 px. It is a still model; its sheet shows it from eight sides, so it can face any direction in your game.

Built in Blender with spiral paint (face materials), lathe vamplate and long taper. Parts and materials are named, so you can recolour it by changing a material’s colour, or edit it before rendering your own sprites.

Good for equipment icons, loot drops, held items and shop screens. Its origin is at the grip with the long axis up, so it goes straight onto a character’s hand bone in Blender, Godot or Unity.

Use it in your game

  • Godot 4: godot/lance-selout-128.tres is a SpriteFrames resource with 8 animations (Static_South, Static_Southeast … Static_Southwest): drop it on an AnimatedSprite2D and play Static_South.
  • Aseprite: aseprite/lance-selout-128.aseprite has a tag for each of those, 8 frames in all, to touch up by hand; its .json sits next to it.
  • Unity, GameMaker and the rest: sprites/selout/lance-128px-8-sides.png has 8 rows of 128×128 px cells, one per action and side, South (front) first, 100 ms a frame. A 4-side sheet and the 32, 48 and 64 px sizes are next to it.
  • Posts and devlogs: the GIFs above, also in the zip’s gifs/ folder.
  • 3D: the GLB opens in Blender, Godot, Unity and three.js. The .blend keeps its modifiers, named parts and materials.

The Style graph of this look: what each node makes, and its settings. Each name links to what the node does.

The other looks in the player (clean, retro, flat) are other Style graphs. With Pixor you can open this asset, change any node, and render your own.
