A round leafy bush made of clumps of leaves, darker below and lighter on top. In its Sway loop the bush bends in the wind, the top moving more than the base. Rendered at 56 pixels from a three-quarter view, it is a small, soft filler for gardens, forests and roadsides.
The mound is built from blob clusters in two tones. The sway is a shape key that bends the bush more the higher up it goes, so the base stays planted. Red berries are an optional part in the extras, and when you switch them on they sway along with the leaves.
Bushes break up open ground, hide secrets and give the player something to cut or search in action adventures and farming games. The version with berries makes a harvestable plant. Keep it at the prop’s real size so it sits in scale with trees and houses.
Render both versions, plain and berried, to show a bush before and after picking. A different Leaf material gives a hedge or an autumn shrub. It sits well at the foot of the oak tree and alongside the flower patch and fence in a cottage garden.
