Drop to ground
A node of the Scene graph.
Drops every object straight down onto the highest surface under it: the scene's other things (or one of them) and any terrain before it in the chain, a lift above it, leaning with the slope as far as you ask.
Takes: objects (objects), on (text), lift (number), tilt (number) · Gives: objects
Settings
| Setting | What it does | Range | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| On | What the objects land on: a thing, or everything else. | text | — |
| Lift | How far above it they stand. | -10 to 10 | 0 |
Leantilt | How far each copy leans with the ground it stands on. | 0 to 1 | 0 |
Every setting is also an input: wire a value into it to change it per copy. On the command line: pxr graph set game.pixor --which scene --node drop-to-ground --set KEY=VALUE.
What it wires to
Its objects input takes objects, which these give: Attribute, Bevel, Chunks, Clouds, Difference, Displace, Effect, Foliage, Grid, Height field, Import, Item, and 32 more.
What it gives, objects, goes into: Attribute, Bevel, Chunks, Clouds, Difference, Displace, Effect, Foliage, Grid, Height field, Item, Join, and 30 more.
In the app, drag a wire from one of its dots: every dot the wire fits is ringed.
How it fits with the rest: the Scene graph in the manual.
